Anthony Plá

Anthony Plá is in his 12th season at the Helm of the Lincoln University Baseball Program. He is also the Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities. In 2010, he helped make the transition from Division III to Division II and make their way back in to the CIAA Conference where Lincoln was a founding member. He was named CIAA Coach of the week in April of 2012 and was the first Coach in the Division II era at Lincoln to receive that honor. Coach Plá has had 19 All-Conference and All-Rookie Team members in the CIAA and a 2nd Team All-Conference member in the East Coast Conference in their first year. Prior to Lincoln, Coach Plá was the Assistant Baseball Coach/Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance at the University of Bridgeport from 2005-2008. The Queens, NY native has coached numerous summer travel teams in his 18 total years as a baseball coach and has had numerous players sign professional contracts. He played at the University of Bridgeport from 1998-2002 where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and stayed from 2002-2004 to earn his Masters of Science in Counseling.
